<image:title>Blog - Pilates Taught by a Physical Therapist: A Clinical Perspective - Another key difference is the integration of manual therapy and hands-on cueing. As a PT, I’m trained to assess and treat soft tissue restrictions, joint mobility limitations, and movement impairments using hands-on techniques such as manual therapy, assisted stretching, and targeted tissue work. This allows me to prepare the body before movement, modify it during exercise, and support recovery after sessions when needed.</image:title>
<image:caption>Hands-on cueing also plays a major role in how movement is learned. Subtle tactile feedback can help clients access muscles they’ve never felt engage, correct compensations they’re unaware of, and move with more confidence and control — especially when pain or fear has altered how they move.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What This Studio Is Built Around - Why a Private Studio?</image:title>
<image:caption>I chose to run a private Pilates studio using the reformer, tower, and chair, alongside a private physical therapy practice and integrated manual services. That choice was very intentional. Private sessions allow me to truly see the person in front of me — their movement patterns, their compensations, their history, their goals. Whether someone is here for rehabilitation, performance, longevity, or simply to feel better in their body, the work can be tailored in a way that group fitness simply doesn’t allow. This doesn’t mean group movement doesn’t have value. It means that this space prioritizes quality over quantity, precision over pace, and long-term results over quick burnouts.</image:caption>

<image:title>Blog - What This Studio Is Built Around - Accessibility, Intentionally Considered</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m very aware that a private studio model is not accessible to everyone — and I don’t take that lightly. That’s why I offer a mat Pilates class capped at no more than eight students. The smaller class size allows me to maintain what this studio is built around: proper form, safe progressions, and individual attention — even in a group setting.I believe movement should be empowering, not overwhelming. Smaller groups help ensure that people feel supported, seen, and confident in what they’re doing.</image:caption>
