FUNCTIONAL BODY WORK
Soft Tissue | Assisted Stretching | Cupping
Evidence-based interventions combining manual therapy, therapeutic massage, assisted stretching, and cupping to address pain, improve joint and tissue mobility, correct muscular imbalances, and enhance circulation and lymphatic drainage. Each treatment is strategically applied to support functional movement and accelerate recovery.
Soft Tissue: addresses specific musculoskeletal issues like pain, limited mobility, and joint dysfunction, using techniques like joint mobilization, manual traction, and soft tissue manipulation
Therapeutic Massage: massage techniques used to target specific tissue imbalances and muscle tension, promote healing and tissue relaxation, and decrease pain. Techniques include lymphatic drainage principles, soft tissue mobilization, active tissue release, and myofascial release
Active Assisted Stretching (PNF-based): Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) principles applied to improve flexibility, mobility, and neuromuscular control through a guided sequence of muscle contractions and relaxations. Ideal for individuals with tight muscles, limited mobility, postural imbalances, individuals who have progressed through traditional PT with continued complaints of limited mobility or pain, or athletes looking to improve performance, seek faster recovery times, and move more efficiently.
Cupping: use of manual cups to create suction & negative pressure to soften tight muscles, tone attachments, loosen adhesions, lift connective tissue, bring hydration and blood flow to body tissues, and drain excess fluids/toxins via lymphatic pathways.
