Pilates Information
-
Pilates is a mindful movement practice that blends strength, breath, and alignment. It sculpts long, lean muscles, enhances posture, and restores balance to the body. At Physique, Pilates is more than exercise—it’s an invitation to connect deeply with yourself while building resilience from the inside out.
-
Movement here is restorative, not punishing. You may feel challenge, intensity, or the satisfying fatigue of hard work, but Pilates should never cause sharp or harmful pain. If something feels off, we’ll adapt so you move safely and sustainably.
-
No. Sessions are tailored to your level, whether you’re brand new or experienced.
Physical Therapy at Physique
-
In California, you have direct access to PT—no referral is required. Some insurance carriers may still require a referral for reimbursement. Direct access allows you to see a PT without a physician’s referral for up to 45 days or 12 visits, whichever comes first. Beyond that, continued care may require physician sign-off.
-
Physique is an out-of-network provider by design. This allows us to devote our full attention to you—one-on-one, without insurance restrictions. We provide superbills that you can submit for potential reimbursement.
Coverage varies widely. We recommend calling your insurance provider to ask about out-of-network physical therapy benefits. Key questions to ask:
What percentage of my sessions are reimbursed?
Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
Is there a session limit per year?
-
It’s simple. After each session, we’ll provide a superbill—a detailed invoice with everything your insurer requires. You can submit it directly through your insurance portal or by mail. If you have questions, their customer service team can walk you through the process.

PT sessions address medical concerns and may include manual therapy, soft tissue work, cupping, assisted stretching, and corrective exercise. Pilates sessions focus on general wellness and conditioning.
